Stabilization in conjunction with decompression for lumbar spinal stenosis

For patients suffering from lumbar spinal stenosis, the LimiFlex is used together with decompression in order to:

• decrease post-decompression sagittal plane instability
• augment or replace the function of the posterior ligamentous tension band
• address the concomitant complaint of flexion-exacerbated low back pain, if present

The LimiFlex Spinal Stabilization System is compatible with multiple types of spinous process sparing decompression for patients suffering from lumbar spinal stenosis.

Midline-Sparing (bilateral laminotomy with partial medial facetectomy, foraminotomy. Spinous processes left intact)	Midline (resection of up to half of the spinous process above and below, and bilateral medial facetectomy and foraminotomy)
